Bhartiya Kisan Union ("we", "us", "the Union") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through our membership app and website, and how we use it.
1. Information we collect
- Membership details — name, mobile number, email, date of birth, gender, address (state/district/village/pincode), and a profile photo.
- Identity/KYC documents — Aadhaar, PAN, or bank passbook, submitted voluntarily to verify membership and enable ID card/certificate generation.
- Payment information — donations, membership fees, wallet top-ups, and store orders are processed by our payment partner, Razorpay. We do not store your card, UPI, or bank credentials — only the transaction reference and amount.
- Usage data — app activity such as login times, device/browser type, and notification preferences, used to keep the app secure and working correctly.
2. How we use your information
- To create and manage your membership, including your ID card and certificate.
- To process donations, membership fees, wallet transactions, and store orders.
- To send you important updates — news, events, and notifications about your account.
- To respond to support requests submitted via the app or the Contact Us form.
3. Data storage & security
Your data is stored on secured servers. KYC documents and profile photos are kept private and are only accessible to you and authorised union administrators. We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information from unauthorised access.
4. Third-party services
We use Razorpay for payment processing. When you make a payment, Razorpay's own privacy policy also applies to the information you provide them directly.
5. Your rights
You can review and update your profile details at any time from the app. To request deletion of your account or data, contact us using the details below.
